4.3

Our big girl is 4 years and 3 months old...going on 14.  How did this happen so quickly??

Fun facts about Ms. Madison:
- Favorite foods: Chicken, fruit, yogurt and CANDY
- Favorite books: Princess books, Berenstain Bear books...really any books
- Favorite songs: Last Christmas (yes, still), "Where you go I'll go" (don't know the real name...it's on 93.3JoyFM), I've got that joy joy joy joy down in my heart....and apparently picking up some songs from her peers...like "You don't know your beautiful" and "Baby you're a firework"
- She still loves to clean and be organized
- Loves her bath
- Loves to play dress up, play with her princess dolls and do puzzles.  I think we could throw out every toy except these things and she'd be happy.
- Loves Disney Jr...mostly Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einsteins (going strong on this one for 3 years...we've had about enough), Doc McStuffins and Sofia the First. If the girls are awake and the TV is on, it is on Disney Jr...no commercials, no questionable words like "doo doo head" or "stupid"...just good old fashioned cartoons with music.
- She loves to play on the ipad...puzzles, memory, drawing, game apps...she's a quick learner
- She can write and sound out every letter...she can spell most of her friends names.
- She can read/write the words love, big, pig, rat, bat, hat, and sat...and her name.
- She knows mommy and daddy's phone numbers
- She is an angel.  We can probably count on 1 hand the amount of times she's been in time out...she has a "pleasin' personality" which I think is why she's so well behaved...we are trying to go ahead and break her of some of the "down sides" of pleasing...teaching her to speak her mind.

Her "filariousness":

-Me: Madison, where'd you get that ring?
M: "Bob" gave it to me (name changed to protect the innocent)
Me: why?
M: because he found it on the playground and the teacher said "you should give it to a girl"...so I told him to give it to me!"

-"I just saw a conbertable car and it was putting it's lid on"

-"If you say I'm just like my daddy, that's ok because I love my daddy."

-Madison: tonight I want to sleep with the princess that starts with "w"
Me: mmmm...none of them start with "w"
Madison: yes she does 'wapunzel'

Madison: Why was ms. Deborah not my swimming teacher this week?
Me: I don't know maybe she was sick or something.
Madison: Yeah, maybe she was sick of all the kids

"Mommy, do you remember a looonnnggg time ago when I was 3? And Kendall was a mump?" (Month)

"call me maybe"....'and all the octopus, they try to chase me...'

"Look mommy! My shadow is so big like I'm 6!!!"

Madison's first "lessons" were swimming lessons this year.  She did great...not swimming yet, but at least she dunked her head a few times!  Baby steps...
Hanging with fellow cutie pie, Charlie Fifield :)

Above all else, this girl's love of life and all of those around her keeps us in awe.  She is so kind, sensitive and loving...she truly sees people through God's eyes.  Her love for her sister continues to astound us...never a cross word or frustration...just pure, caring, helpful love.

You make me want to be a better person, Madison Rylee...I love you...

Bye Bye Baby

Our baby isn't such a baby anymore...She is growing up too fast.  Here are some fun facts about Ms. K :)

- She turned 16 months old last month.
- She weighs 20 lbs (still my little peanut)
- She can eat with a spoon
- Her hair is FINALLY growing and curling up!!!
- She just moved to size 4 diapers
- She is still wearing 9-12 month clothes and size 3 shoes
- She says lots of words: shishee (sissy), cracker, cheese, milk, all gone, more, mama, dada, elmo, book, nana (banana), appa (apple), wawa (waffle), jush (juice), Eyesh (eyes), Nosh (nose), woof woof, roar, tweet tweet...the list is growing by the day.
- She has been saying her first sentence for awhile "Wheres shishee?"...but she is busting out with a lot more this week..."I want cheese", "I milk", "Read book"...everyday it's something new.
- We took Madison's pacies away at this age...so it's time...but I'm having a harder time getting motivated to do it with her. Guess I want her to stay a baby forever :)
- She got tubes in February, and just like Madison, started sleeping through the night THE DAY she got tubes.  They are miracle workers and we love Dr. Burson!!!!  She has basically been sleeping 7pm-6:30am everyday since then.
- We thought for awhile that she might be our 'wild child', but now we're not so sure.  She has been so sweet and obedient.
- She is a goofy trickster like her daddy and sister.  She will run by me just far enough that I can't reach her and laugh and laugh...
- She is in the Toddler room at school...she gets to play with her sister on the playground everyday and from what we hear, she is WELL protected by big sis.
- Anytime you say the word "Lime" she roars....lion...lime...i get it

She Loves
- Her "shishee" (sissy)
- Elmo
- Her pacie
- To swing or do anything outside
- Her bath...she even waits until all the water drains out and then lays down on the tub floor like she's going to sleep
- To sing...she will start singing a few words of the song and then looks to you to put on the full show...
- TO EAT!!!!  She will eat anything and everything in sight.  We call her our "little lab" because you have to cut her off so she won't explode!!!
- TO READ!!! Her absolute favorite thing to do...if your bottom so much as touches the floor, she runs for a book and to sit in your lap.  Madison was not very interested in reading this young, but Kendall has been since day 1...she could do it for hours.
- Dogs!  She has enamored with dogs.  Anytime we are around them she walks right up to them, lays on them, tries to ride them...no fear whatsoever
- School...she walks right in on her and hugs all over her teachers. She loves it just as much as her sister does :)

Girlfriend looovveeesss her bath
And her "shishee"
Sweet girl napping at school...She's sleeping soooo much better since her tubes.
Getting tubes...
Watching "shishee" at swimming lessons!
Will she be an OCD organizer like her sister?  maybe so...
Sisterly secrets...

Watching Frisbee dogs at Dogwood Festival.
Bath baby
Loving School!
This is just such an amazing age when their little words and personalities start to come out...I had forgotten, but now I remember...it only gets better from here!
We love you, Kendy girl!

Day 4!! Last Day :( Magic Kingdom

So sad...Day 4...our last day at the parks.  We went to MK again because we didn't even come close to finishing everything we wanted to do the first day!! Day 4 started with an early morning reservation for breakfast at Cinderella's Castle.  This was one of the best parts of the entire trip by 4.  It takes 2 table service credits, but it is soooo worth it!  I don't think she could have been anymore excited...

I think some of the fun was not knowing what was going to happen, so if you don't want a spoiler alert, don't read this one...As soon as you walk in, you have your picture made with Cinderella...They then bring you the printed photos at breakfast (included in the meal).

They also brought a wishing start and a magic wand...as well as a placemat that all the princesses had signed for you to take home.  Just kept getting better...
Then...over the speakers, the narrator begins to tell a story...a fairytale story...and at the end of that story, the princess comes out...and then it happens again...and again...and again!!!

At this point we had to take a little potty break...Madison brought her wishing star with her and I said "Madison, what did you wish for on your wishing star??" And she said "To see Jasmine...she's the only one I haven't seen yet" :(
And then...who is the next princess to arrive????  Her wish came true!!!  It was as magical as it gets :)

After breakfast it was off to meet Tinkerbelle...and her friend who's name I do not know because we haven't watched those movies...

Time for some Teacups...daddy couldn't stomach this one..(sidebar...please...do NOT ever take your 2 week old baby on the teacups...OR TO DISNEY for that matter!  Yes I witnessed it)

Next up, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!  They say to bring your own comb/brush (which we forgot and it was no big deal) and to come with clean nails.  We opted to wear our own princess dress instead of springing for the SUPER EXPENSIVE ones they sell there.  We did get suckered into a package that included a tutu, tshirt and bag...I would say stick with the lowest package if we had a do over.  She was really sleepy while the 'fairy godmother in training' was doing her hair..haha...but she ended up loving it...

Got to see Jasmine again later...and Aladdin of course...who may have ended up being her 'favorite' character :)

Funny thing is...about 2 weeks after our trip, Madison randomly said "mommy, you member at 'diziney wowld' when we saw Jasmine at that breakfast and she knew my name? then we saw her again later and she didn't know my name? I think it was a different Jasmine".  Uh oh...she's going to keep us on our toes!!  I explained that it was probably because the second time was "post bibbidi bobbidi" and she probably didn't recognize her with her new hairdo!  That seemed to fly ok...

Zonked...all of us were.  Our time at Disney truly was magical.  Jorge makes fun of me because I think about it all the time and want to go back so badly already!  It seriously enters my mind everyday for one reason or another...well played, Disney.  You were worth every penny and more...We'll be back when little K turns 4 :)

Day 3!!! Hollywood Studios

Day 3!! Yippeeee!! Our low key day.  We had an early morning Table Service reservation, so we got to get into the Park before the masses.  This is a good tip...Get a reservation before the park opens.  That way, you can be first in line for rides!

Breakfast reservations were at Hollywood and Vine!  Specifically chosen because it's a Disney Junior character breakfast and June (from Little Einsteins) is one of the characters.  Madison has loved Little Einsteins since she was about 2 years old...it used to be the ONLY thing she'd watch. Thankfully we have moved on to loving most of the Disney Junior shows now :) so we knew she would love it...
Breakfast was a buffet and DELICIOUS.  I swear Disney World food rocks!  Not only did the Characters come around to your table, but they also had some singers come out with the characters and they sang all the theme songs, etc.  It was so great.

So glad we captured this moment below...she hadn't even seen any characters yet, but she was just so happy and excited about everything, she was smothering me...

As I said, we knew there wasn't too much we wanted to do at Hollywood except some key things...the Beauty and the Beast show, an Ariel show, and Fantasmic, the night time show.  We also really wanted to see the Disney Junior live show, but it was closed for "updating"...we heard they are probably adding Doc McStuffins.  Hollywood is a GREAT place for a rainy day because it is mostly shows.

Standing in front of a fountain dedicated to the movie Splash. I loved the movie Splash when I was younger and that is where I first loved the name Madison :) So we had to take a pic.

Hoola hoops in front of the hat! Don't mind if I do! She didn't want to leave from doing this!

Starting to lose it here...too close to nap time...

The night time show was AWESOME.  I will WARN you...as we were warned...that it is a little scary and dark...basically it's Mickey having bad dreams...all the villains are in it.  And then his good overcomes the bad dreams, of course.  There are TONS of characters in the show, it's in the water...really awesome show...and she never got scared, so that was good.
